Here is the Mother's Day gift I made, on 3 8by8 panels. For legal purposes, I made no profit, did not reproduce it, and take no credit for the character.

The Grimm's Tale "The Seven Ravens"
After hours of grueling work, I am proud to present four visual development environments for my adaptation of "The Seven Ravens". The assignment included mastering a new style. Typically, I am very detailed and attempt a sense of realism with my art, so I chose to let the art of Samantha Kallis inspire me. Her graphic and storybook style is something I have always wanted to attempt, so here it is! My version takes place in the pre French Revolution era, where seven brother ravens, get turned into humans by a baker who is secretly a wizard. After living the spoiled life, stealing food from the town beneath them, particularly enjoying taking from the local baker, the brothers get what's coming to them. After being turned into humans, they must live as homeless and deemed crazy, for who would believe their story? Several years pass, and their baby sister, who is now old enough to steal her own food from the town, discovers who these boys are to her. In a desperate plea with the baker, he agrees to release the boys from their curse. They are reunited with their family and never steal from that bakery, so long as they live.
Here, we have the opening setting to the story, with the raven's home overlooking the town they take advantage of.
This represents the town setting, with our eye being lead straight to the bakery.
This is the basement of the bakery, where the closet wizard can practice his craft and bake his bread. The raven brothers steal by coming in through the broken window which barely sees the light of day.
This is the alley in which the brothers must call home once they are turned into humans.
