The Day Eye Turned 13

So I pitched a short to Nickelodeon last month.  Although I didn't get the short, it was an amazing experience and I can't wait to to it again.  I created my very first storyboard for it and I'm still working on a way to get it up on this blog to show you all.  Until then, here are my finished characters!

Plein Air!

I have just completed a semester of outdoor location painting.  Here is the most successful crew of the bunch.  I have to say, this class was very challenging.  Although I am well versed in oil painting, it was a completely different monster to take on.  Every moment outside is different from the last, and color relationships determine so much of the successfulness of the painting.  It took a long time for me to resist just painting what I see.  But I think I'm on to something here.

Here is the newly revamped version of "Mommy and Eye", now called "The Day Eye Turned 13".  Meet Roger, Zachary, and Sharon.

Here is a sketch from a story that I have been developing for at 2 minute short which I will be presenting to Nickelodeon.  This adorable little ginger is Zachary, inspired by my boyfriend and an experience that my cousin had as a little boy.  The actual story is top secret right now.  More to come!
